Ice Art Competitions

The Ice Art Competitions is art in ice (duh) and is always held about this time of year. If there is ever a good reason to visit Fairbanks in the winter, it would be to see these beautiful pieces. My pictures came out rather decent. And, well, be prepared for alot of them.

To the left you can sort of see me. I’m making friends with the squirrel from Ice Age. That was the theme for the children’s park this year. The park is filled with the coolest things. First there’s spinners that are shaped like baskets. Someone sits inside and then you spin them until they puke. Ice on compacted snow equals for a really fast spin. Then the next kick ass thing is the slides. Wear a decent pair of snow pants and you could actually injure yourself. Ah… I like rediscovering my roots of being a kid. On to the competition pictures!

And to think, these will all melt when it warms up. Sorry for the length of this post, I have been fighting with the compose thing here on blogger to get it to line out right, but it keeps changing my code so it screws everything up! ~_~
