Heh

Sometimes I don’t realize how obvious I am around people in public if there’s something I don’t approve or I think is absurd and a waste of time. Granted, it all depends on how observant a person is on picking up things. For our economics group, I’ve sort of adopted the roll of assitant Project Manager. At least, people have been turning to me for direction when E (we’ll call the PM E for now) isn’t around.

Yeah, who knows how I got sucked into this role. Must be that overconfident persona I tend to project. Bleh.

Anyways, E cracks me up. She picked up on my feelings towards K (we’ll call one of our electricals K for the time being. We’re a “multi-displinary group”). He kept putting out ridiculous things that had nothing to do with what we were working on. In other words, he was losing sight of the project mission or goal: Put a proposal together, not a detailed design.

Today, we met to organize things for the presentation. Last week (or, rather, the week before, which was Spring Break) three of us put the paper proposal together (me, E, and K: imagine the frustration and the fact I started ignoring K in favor of pasting together the different parts we’d worked on into one file, I know E found it amusing). So, all 6 of us (too freaking big of a group IMO for a project like this), met at the library. K sucked in two of our group members into pointless design discussion!

Granted, that gave me, E, and J (one of our other electricals) time to finish the Work Flow Diagram, Schedule, and Cost. When we finished, I had basically stopped trying to listen to the other three’s (here named “the boys”) conversation and I asked E what the hell they were talking about. She smiled and said, “Take a wild guess.”

You know, I’ve never met E before this group and we probably won’t stay in contact after the class, but… still… it is nice to meet kindred souls in a group I didn’t pick to join myself.

On another note: I fixed my commenting. Sorry to those who were writing invisibly… >_> I wasn’t paying attention to all the CSS code I was editing for the template. Ooppps.
