Buff Boys

Posted in: Everyday

Know where I could find a few? A few buff boys? Young and tasty preferably? Kidding kidding.

I’ve done alot. All I have left is the kitchen to pack. My coworker is coming to give me a hand next weekend to help me with the furniture I can’t move myself. And you don’t know how grateful I am to have Joe’s truck still. Even though the story with that is a catastrophe in and of itself. I have one more load and that’ll be it. If I had been using my car? It would of taken me triple the amount of time.

So, have you missed me?

At work, I have come very close to murdering CB. My gawd, do not make me go back out into the field with her. Please, please! Alright, so I’m the engineer, right? And she openly admits she’s a biologist without survey experience, right? What does she do everytime I give her an instruction? Question me. And she asks the same question a trillion different ways! On top of that? When I say no. It’s NO. I am not surveying some guy’s property line without the proper equipment. I can’t help it if you didn’t bother to ask me if you had the right stand for the transit. NO. Not doing it. Why? Because if I’m off, who would get held liable? Me. We might be government, but we’re still vulnerable to civil suits. So stop asking why not and just take my answer dammit.

As it is, we AREN’T suppose to be doing that kind of work. The client is suppose to higher PROFESSIONL SURVEYERS. And she even muttered under her breath that JH and JO would think she was crazy for doing this.

That was thursday. I’m not even going to touch upon tuesday. Ann confirmed my feelings though on the matter. And said I did good. I’m so gonna miss her.

Great news? It’s official! I have a degree. No matter how many times I say it, though, I can’t believe it. This has been a very long 5 years. Unlike high school though? I can ask, “what did I learn?” And clock off on my fingers a dozen or so items. And that… feels good because it proves it wasn’t a waste of my time.

So, in closing, some more images:

Hopefully, I’ll be able to sit around and relax for the most part next week. And catch up with people! I feel so alone without being on the computer regularly.

..okay, so that’s just a little sad.
