In Elko

Posted in: Everyday

…It’s hot here. My mother argues with me on that. So what do I do? I go to the weather site, pull up Elko’s information and prove to her that it’s hot out there.

A 98 degree high is hot. Throw in humidity and you’re in a sauna.

Okay, okay, so it’s not that terrible. This is a small, quaint little town. It’s basically a stopping place for people on their way to any of the major cities around here. I guess they just got a Walmart and a Kmart according to the Office Manager for my company.

My company. Sounds odd to say.

Apartment hunting has been slim pickings. I have one to go look at today and a possible second one. The first one is a 1bd 1bth and the drive by stirred good feelings in my gut. I get to take a tour of the place at 1 today. The tenants are still living in it though, so it won’t be open until about August 12.

The second place, which has my interest, is a 2bd 2.5 bath. Yeah, I really don’t need that many bathrooms, but hey, it’s only 775 a month. Someone else is currently looking at it and if they don’t want it, then they’ll call G (the office manager) and set up a time to go look at it too. G has been extremely helpful.

I was feeling pretty disappointed on sunday when I went and looked at a few other places. I am NOT living in a mobile home. I’m sorry, no. Absolutely not. I can afford better.

It’s half tempting to look for a place to buy because of how slim the pickings are. We’ll see though. We’ll see.

A 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath for 775? Wow. I’d take it in a heartbeat. You don’t have to take care of livestock or share your bathroom with the superintendant or anything?

I know I’m a little slow on this, but I just wanted to welcome you into your new site and wish you all the best in your new chapter. =)

Better late than never (as usual),

I used to live in a mobile home. What’s wrong with them? They are great! Put them in the middle of a biiiiiig lot of land and beautiful!

Besides… why are you so picky girl?! You used to go out of your cabin to use the bathroom!

    geesh!

    :p :p :p

Thao - Somebody took it sad

Emma - Oh wow… the last time I checked, it looked like your journal had been abandoned! It’s good to see you’re still around though ::hugs::

Kitty - The mobile home was by white trash mobile homes. I can say white trash since I’m “technically” considered white. It just looked like a dump. If it had been a place on a big lot with lots of land, I probably would have swiped it up!

Star - We’re finally cooling off now. It feels nice. It was actually cold this morning.
