The “Stalker”
Yes, be prepared for a very cynical post… or at least in the beginning. And if you truly do exist, don’t take this wrong, consider it my attempt to draw you out. And also to warn you that our mothers are gossiping.
So, the story begins:
When my mother was pregnant with me, she had a very good friend who was also pregnant with her first. Now, don’t get me wrong, their still friends, but I don’t know if I would classify them as good friends. Of course, many of you know how most friendships work. When a friend needs you the most, that’s when they’ll talk to you (a majority of the time) and then leave you for a while until they need you again.
Anyways, my mother’s friend was gifted a son. He was born before I was. Then I was born. And thus, the plotting began.
These mothers’ dreams? If you can’t figure it out, let me go grab the frying pan out of the kitchen. You guessed it, that we secretly fell in love, got married, and lived happily ever after.
However, after a few years, the mothers lost touch for a pretty long length of time. It was my mother’s friend who reconnected them, having seen it in a tarot spread (or some such malarchy). From there, both mothers encouraged their children to write each other, etc.
And I’ll be honest, my mother’s friend’s son never struck me as someone that was greatly interested in either myself or my sister. And if you truly are supposedly “obsessed” then you’ve definitely surprised me. And maybe, just slightly, creeped me out. Even though, I know I have lurkers (all I have to do is study the IP addresses logged by my webcounter and then run a WHOIS search to figure out who’s who and from where and discard the robot crawls)… I really don’t want to know what to think.
So this is why I’m writing this… to figure out if you’re really real or if our mothers have mixed me up with some other girl. Or they might be greatly exaggerating things (my mother is pretty good at that…). Just send me a note, say “yeah, you caught me… now I’m totally embarressed and I muttered ‘ah shit’ when I read this entry…”

So, to try and summarize my latest bits of time without making this overly long. Work this week was overly amusing. Big Daddy was out from Denver and he wasn’t pleased with some of the things he’d been hearing (nothing to do with me thank gawd). We now have a schedule set for who has to work what weekend so that people don’t end up overworked. Sure… KE is going to follow it. He already made several extra people come in this weekend. ::rolls eyes::
Then, KE, KL, and G got stuck in a really long conference because of some ‘he said, she said’ crap. G can be a gossip so you have to watch what you say around her (not that she’s a bad person, she’s actually kind of cool and has been very helpful at least with me when I don’t understand something/policy/etc). And if you complain about something to her and then don’t speak up for yourself, she’ll do it for you. Hence, the watching.
Something strange I’ve noticed, KE will make sure to ask KL if he can use me with me right there. ::shrugs:: Who knows what that’s all about. As it is, I’m in the lab when KL doesn’t have anything for me to do.
Friday found me at the Stray Dog downing beers with coworkers. Or trying to, I’m such a two beer sally. I was there for a while before I took off. ::sighs:: I was the only girl. Sucks. S needs to become legal sooner than february!
Today found me at the Elko County horse races. Heehee, I’ve never gambled before, nor have I ever seen horse races. I know, Joe has lectured me multiple times about gambling addiction (I love you honey), and I behaved myself. I actually did quite well. I broke even lol . So, basically, I’d bet, win, spend some of the winnings, lose, then spend more of the winnings and would win again. And once I got the hang of it, I was really good at picking out the decent horses.
And my gawd those were beautiful creatures. I actually wish I had my camera, I would have taken pictures for y’all.
And that brings me to now, a little wired for no apparent reason. But I’m putting that energy to good use: trying to get Shadowed Beauty ready. I’ve had to remake all of my tubes because of an accident. These are actually brand new and have nothing featured from my previous art (fractal and digital). At the quality that I’m rendering these images at, it takes nearly 3-4 hours to complete.
::shakes finger:: Some of you planning on using my work had better shower me with a lot of love and affection. :P
In other news, Joe leaves once more for Ranger School tomorrow. If he makes it into the first session (that is if I don’t hear from him about wednesday), I’ll start posting letters at Letters to Joe. These aren’t the ones I’m going to be sending him, but will be different (mostly to amuse him when he gets back from training). And, yeah, I plan to make it as mushy as possible heehee
Awe man, you caught me. - Just kidding.
August 27th, 2006 at 7:40 amAs for the stalker, that is creepy.
As for work, there is always some level of drama in every workplace, unfortunately. At least you’ve figured out who the gossip is. That’s the one you really need to watch out for. :)

Star - It is, but then, I know this guy kind of… sadly, he hasn’t revealed himself yet, so I can’t prove it’s true :wah:
Compared to my last office, there’s alot more drama here. I think it may be just because it’s private and not government? Oh who knows, things to contemplate later.
