Quickies

Spin that word around I dare you.

I’ve had a rough couple of weeks. Tonopah was a nightmare. Just about anything that could go wrong, went wrong, and throw in triple digit heat and I owe those drillers a case. And right before we finished, right before we drilled that last 30 feet that would of sent me home cheering, the drill rig buried itself. We had to get a CAT to pull it out. I have pics so I’ll share later.

This week found me trying to catch paperwork up, while juggling and filling in on other people’s jobs. And I have to go in tomorrow because I haven’t finished. I would hold off until Monday to do it, but I’m headed to Denver for two weeks to help write reports there.

I feel special.

Mom is excited, that’s for sure. I got this huge long e-mail from her about this and that. And the whole time I’m thinking, “Mom, I’m not a needy teenage kid. Make sure there’s just coffee. Love you.” She sounded slightly worried because of the lifestyle changes she’s had to make with the gastric bypass. If anything, I was cheering when I read about the lack of soda and the surplus of fruits and vegetables.

Joe is also good. I got one of his letters today and I broke down at the end of it. I think its the dose of estrogen in addition to the need to catch up on sleep and stress. I’m sure it’s obvious, I don’t want him over there. I want him with me so badly. I wish my government wasn’t ran by a bunch of idiots. And I didn’t vote for the current one, so, yes, I can say that.

On other news, might be getting a roommate for a month and a half. She’s coming over tomorrow so I can show her around a bit. I’m probably going to let her move in while I’m in Denver too. She sounds cool. I’ll fill in more later.

And since the cats are starving and the house is a mess, I’m going to close and say adieu.
