The Cold War

Posted in: Everyday

The cold war is a sweet bitterness between smiles of gritting teeth and soothing lies. While the stress has gone down with the extra lab help that I’ve finally been able to get, S and I’s fighting has gone behind the scenes. I don’t even think he realizes how irritated I get with him.

At the end of october (about the last week) I took a vacation that I had scheduled clear back in July (in the PROPER manner and I PROPERLY informed parties to INSURE that I had someone to cover me). I had to retake my FE and knew I’d probably be needing a break with the project about then. Well, I get back to find that nothing got done while I was gone (at least not as much got done if I had been there overseeing crap) and S had left me a list of things needed in the lab. Well, I’m broke… I don’t have the money to get non essential things right now. I called the office and talked to G because S wants a new chair (two of them are like falling apart, but still work), asked her if she was going to be making a trip to Office Max in the near future. She said she hadn’t been planning on it, but then asked why. I told her about the request. She tells me that he had already asked about that and he was informed that he should go buy it and then expense it.

WHAT THE FUCK?

So, the cold war started. And I think a few people figured it out. I am flat out refusing to buy anything, until Scott says we’re not partners and I am boss or he goes out and becomes and equal partner. G is siding with me on this. Just because I’m the woman, doesn’t mean I have to do all the shopping. Now if it was confirmed that I am management, then yeah, I would step up and do what it takes to keep those under my supervision happy. As it is, if S and I are a partnership we should be alternating and sharing the god damn work. I do the fucking shopping on my off time! Does he think I’m made of money and do nothing but things for work when I’m not clocking hours?! It’s not my responsibility to keep him stocked in fucking soda (a discussion for another time).

Oh… on another note, like the new layout (I’m still working on it, but it’s good to share now)? And my vacation was just lovely…

As if work isn’t hard enough, there always has to be someone there to create high drama. How long is this project scheduled to take?

I love the new layout. It’s pretty.

Glad you enjoyed your vacation. I hope you can hang in there until the next one. smile

Is this still Satan’s little helper we are talking about? I’m confused. =p

If your looking for something diffrent… I could inquire what is available in our company… there might be something engineer or geology related.

Kim - Supposedly the project is suppose to be done the middle of december… but I’m not sure. It does look like we’ll be getting there… I cannot wait! And thanks!

Karnov - Do not be surprised if I take you up on your offer in about 6 months. There has been some things going on with my company that I have not been at liberty to talk about. I’m actually doing a passcoded post about it so I CAN talk about it without fear of getting caught… it’s complicated… you’ll see.

There is always going to be someone that makes your work life a living hell. They always get what they deserve in the end.
