It’s been a while hasn’t it?
The List
1. I had an excellant review this year.
2. I’ve been promoted to Staff Engineer.
3. My truck gets fixed at the beginning of this year (1400 to replace the driver side door panel).
4. Joe says he’ll be back in the states for sure by the first week of May.
5. I turned 25 two days ago.
6. My project is finally coming to an end because they’re sending me to Nome in the middle of January (I hope SP suffers without me).
7. I behaved myself at the company christmas party this year.
I think that’s about it. I’m at my mom’s currently, at least for the week. I took time off all the way until the 2nd of the new year. I got a few jabs for it, but gawd damn… they have family 5 minutes from them, I have no family near me and after spending the holidays alone in college, it’s not something I wanted to ever do again.
I went to the mall yesterday… or got dragged. I was sourly reminded of one thing I don’t care about the holiday… that everyone is driven by consumerism and kids are fucking greedy. I was in Old Navy for one particular incident. Two little girls just would not listen to their dad. Up and running around and asking to have everything. The poor guy looked pretty frustrated.
Anyways… life keeps rolling on this end.
Sounds like not a bad end to the year, Staff Engineer, congrats for that and behaving at the company party, wow, no such luck for me :-)
I no what you mean about the little basta…..er….I mean kids, they are real greedy but I suppose they are made that way by the parents, still that doesn’t take away the fact that they are annoying. Have a great christmas….bah humbug.

Thanks Rick :D And thanks for the birthday card too… I had chaperons so that kind of helped… granted I will never rid myself of the nickname Chuck. As a fellow engineer pointed out to me, I am a legend. >_>
