Thrilled
A bunch going on. A list is in order!
1. This weekend went by in a whirl. The boy gave me a ring and did a formal proposal :D And the ring was a surprise. He stock piled money while he was overseas. It’s an eternity cut diamond that’s nearly 3/4 karot, placed in a traditional engagement ring setting. Originally, he had picked up these really pretty stones (don’t remember what they are off the top of my head), but found out that while they were worth quite a bit, they were to brittle for being placed in a ring setting. So, he had to come up with another plan. And that’s how I ended up with what I have now… it’s really sparkly and pretty. Yes… a picture will be in order.
2. They’re coming out with a sequel to Beyond Good and Evil. I loved the first game and am currently replaying it (I never made it completely to the end the first time around because of getting out of school, moving, new job interfered). For a preview, click here.
3. I have to have shots. That’s right, I’m allergic to the outside world. If I ever want to be really sick, all I have to do is laydown in a meadow filled with ragweed, sage brush, and cheat grass. It’s great, wonderful. They knocked me up with a steroid until my regular shots get here. It’s a two year treatment. Oh, and the other thing I found out? I have an allergy to peanuts. I’ve eaten peanuts my whole life. Weird.
4. The bathroom is being remodeled. I don’t recall if I mentioned this or not. The tile started going down this week. The boy’s been working on it with moderate regularity. I can’t wait until I get to paint. :D
5. We’re upgrading the computer. I do not have the specs sitting in front of me, but we decided to build a new one as an AMD system. The one I have is about 5 years old and has already been maxed out (intel system). So, we figure, why not? Look forward to new artwork… I shouldn’t be losing my patience for a render on this system.
And… that’s it for now. More later…
1. Did you say yes?
It doesn’t say in your blog. I take it you did so congratulations to both of you. Don’t forget to invite all your fellow blogonians
3. Peanuts too….there is an awful lot of food out there with peanut in it I hope it’s not a wild allergy to them.
5. 5 years old,
and you rendering on it, you should be a saint.
